Paolo Veronese - The wedding at Cana (1562-1564)

A monumental that tells a universe. From a traditional religious story, Veronese tells us about his personal vision of the vastness and pomp of his time. Andrea Palladio inspires such vast architecture that he probably needed the help of Veronese's brother Benedetto to be finished. A golden age classicism. The center of the scene is not the spouses and the most famous guest but a quartet of musicians, who according to tradition are: Tiziano (violone), Tintoretto (violin), Bassano (cornett) and Paolo Veronese (viol).
