Hieronymus Bosch - The ship of fools (c. 1490-1550)

The master of symbol and fantasy. His painting is praise of madness and freedom of thought.
His criticism is always strong, it has no limits and it is not censored: rulers, clergy, rich and poor are all worthy of being criticized.
The disorder and tension created by Madness contrasts the absolute silence and perfection of a horizon without movement or perturbations.
