Paul Gauguin - Where are you going? (1893)


Society is a colossal deception, according to Gauguin. Her taking refuge in Tahiti in search of a new, more natural and true culture, however, led her to come into contact with another society.
The much discussed title is a greeting, according to the traditions of the area (but not only, in other parts of the world the pleasantries are similar).
A simple, almost primitive and at times medievalish color.
